I think its great the Q6600 is just an awesome chip. I noticed the same with my quad. However as soon as I go above 3.96Ghz it suddenly needs at least 1.5 volts. To get my Quad stable at 4Ghz in games for hours on end I had to bump it up to 1.53v.
55C at idle? Under load you must be hitting around 65C? Do you think thats pushing the thermal threshold. I have mine shutdown if it goes over 60C.
BTW...I hate your background color..LOL.

How do you manage to do that? Burn in?
Mine has to have 1.4 @ 3.2 or else it won't boot.
Btw the Thermalright Ultima is coming tomorrow.:rockout:
Which fans do you advice?
I have a very silent Papst 90mm. I was thinking to get another one and mount one on both sides.

Or use the 120mm clips that come with it and put a 120mm on one side and a 92mm on the other. Scythe 120mm or Arctic freezer 92mm

I can get my Q6600 to 3.6 on 1.475v like Trt740, but then it seems to need quite a bit of voltage to get to 3.7, like 1.53v to get it stable.

Paul at your max stable overclocking ,24/7 clock, what are your temps with your cooler. Do you ever go over 60c.
