Anyone else getting this error ? NFSPS crashing to desktop. Driving me crazy coz it`s happening all the time.

It may be due to directx, or try reinstalling the game,

looks like its trying to resolve a DNS name, but failing too. was sort of copy protection is on that game??? looks like something that bioshock had?

This really made me mad. I hate games that install crap I dont need, want, or accepted. I even asked it not to install PunkBuster...BS!

So here is what you do to fix this. It looks like your on XP. Go into your services control panel and find the PunkBuster Service "grrrrr" click "stop" and then "Disable", reboot and your game should run fine.

Now if you are playing this online you will need to enable Punkbuster, but there is no reason to let that service run if you are just playing the campaign/single player. And yes the PunkBuster client does cause the game to crash.

It doesn't crashes the game, I play NFS ProStreet and PunkBuster is enabled and running

probably a different version, files and stuff. I would say its worth disabling punkbuster and give it a shot

I googled that , but couldn`t find anything useful. Tried the update , no joy. Maybe it`s just something on my system

I've searched google, and this problem is with everyone, to resolve this problem EA will release a patch in this month

Update - try the 1.1 patch ... ssssooooo much better ! (Hardly) any crashes to desktop and jitter free gameplay
