Why windowsupdate.com calls ? Always firewall popups !

Whenever I start GPU-Z the tool issues outgoing calls to

windowsupdate.com

My firewall pops up dialogs up a couple of times.

Why does GPU-Z calls this site ?

How do I permanently disable this crap?

No, GPU-Z never calls windowsupdate.com

Maybe your OS ins't updated and automatic updates makes the call. First make real sure your OS is updated, including .net framework

GPU-Z merely transmits your GPU data (with your permission) to the Tech PowerUp GPU database.

If your firewall is restricting GPU-Z 's connection, unblock when prompted or add a rule. Trust me, it's harmless.
