New FPS game announced

A new FPS game was announced today, called "Shell". It has many features, including allied fighters and a DX10 engine, as well as multiple weapons and intelligent AI, it promises to be one of the first DX10 games developed by a small company.
"We're very excited to be undertaking this development process", said the director of OBSCURE Studios. "All of us here are looking forward to seeing it completed." The games storyline was not revealed, but it is known that there will be some elements of quests.

As far as I know, DX10 is backwards compatible with DX9 hardware, by which I mean it'll downscale the effects.

Does it offer anything new or is it just another shooter? ie nothing special.

There is so little information in this "announcement" that it impossible to even make a wild guess what this game will be like.
