xbox 360 wired headset work with windows for headset?

Will the xbox 360 wired head set work on the pc to play tf2 or any other multiplayer fps?

Some one said that the wired controller with the headset worked but can someone confirm this?

using a wired controller works, I do that exact thing on Skype

it apparently does work. i'm about to play tf2 and test it out further so i'll get back to you


edit: It works for sure....just a bit weird having the sound on one side.
