ATI 9550 256mb flashed to a 9600 pro 256mb (Need Help)

Hey guys i need some Q`s answered and i hope you guys can answer them...

I have a ati 9550 256mb vid card and i flashed it to a powercolour 9600 256mb

With my 9550 i could get 460 core and 200 memory (Default was 250/200

With the 9550 flashed to a 9600 i get 400 core and 202 memory (Default is 390/207)

I cant take the 9600 over 400/202 because i get artifacts...But with the 9550 i could up it to 460/200 with out any artifacts...

I was getting 56 fps avg on the ati tool 3d view with the 9550 with the DNA 3.4.4.11 drivers

Im now getting 41 fps avg with the 9600 with the latest softmod drivers....

Iv tryed the new 5.8 ati drivers but they dont make any diffrence...

So my 1st Q is..

1.What drivers are the best for a 9550 flashed to a 9600?

2.Why wont the 9600 go above a 400/202?

3.Should i flash the card back to 9550 and just O/C it to 460/202?

4.Will doing any of this make a change in my FPS and game performance?

I'm not exactly sure why the card has worse overclocks when flashed to a 9600. I've heard of people getting better overclocks after flashing, but never worse. As far as flashing back to 9550 I would say deffenitely do it unless you have more pipelines while being a 9600. (I don't know much about anything below 9800's.) I'm sure running 460/200 will show improvement, whether or not it will be noticeable in games or not I don't know. It could show improvement but maybe only a few hundred 3dmarks. As far as drivers I don't think I can help you there.
