View Full Version : Clockgen weirdness

Clockgen 1.0.4.7 doesn't seem to work properly. I select the right clock generator (ICS 951422), but it still defaults the HTT speed to 133, and the PCI-E speed to 13. I can't raise the PCI-E frequency past 58, and changing the HTT causes a crash. Is there something else I have to do to get this board working properly? And before anybody says to use the online guide, I can't because the page is offline.

how bout not using shitty software for overclocking?
your board has a bios that allows overclocking, why not do it from there?

nothing wrong with the clock-generator (if anything went wrong with your CG, the whole system would dunk), I'd blame the software.
Use SpeedFan (http://www.google.co.in/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=2&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.almico.com%2Fsfdownload.php&ei=_zprR--9Npms6wPw-JBI&usg=AFQjCNF0e5KZwlSWbhPh1vynpLPCuZ-hOQ&sig2=NR46XKo9b41SZv0KzTEufA).
It has a cool clockgen tool with it.

The BIOS overclocking on my board is screwed, I want to see if it buggers up through a program like clockgen. Through BIOS, it'll randomly lower the multi to 8x, and/or lower the HTT by about 15%.
And speedfan's clockgen doesn't have my chip, or any chip after the K7 days it seems.

Yea, I tried the latest beta BIOS and the latest non-beta BIOS, both are the same. I want to get rid of this damn board but I can't find anything good for a decent price, good 939 boards are getting rare.
