Cold Storm

yeah, what type of cable modem are you hooked with? the only thing I can even think of is that the speed of your internet isn't fast enough.. I know it sounds stupid, but I just don't get it.
is your password and user name right? I know it would say invalid but just to ask..

Winblow's firewall blocks UT3 initialy. Did you get a pop up asking you about it when you installed? If so what did you tell it to do? (ie: keep blocking, unblock or ask later) I'd check that first.
Also, did you create an account? Sounds like you might not haven't logged in. Which you need to do to play online.
Did you install the patch?
Cold Storm

yeah, a lot of times if you have a beta account and then just go out and buy the game the account doesn't work.

I know it sounds strange but others with Asus boards are having similar isues. Try the latest lan drivers for your mobo. If you have a pci lan card? I'd try putting that in to see if that the problem.

I know for a fact there's a few key gens out there and, your key might have been used already. Since you've only had the game for 2 weeks. I'd contact Epic to obtain a new key. There much better about these things than say... Valve. <- F'ers
Sorry but I really think this is probably your problem.
OH and BTW. If it's not a legit copy. (I'm not saying that it isn't.) You won't be able to play online.

The legit copy thing isn't true. Someone I know has a cracked version of it and he's able to play online with no problems. Seen it with my own eyes.

lan drivers?
Cold Storm
12-22-2007, 07:08 PM
he means the fact of have you updated your drivers for your lan driver aka ethernet driver... If there is ethernet on a mobo its called lan port.
Lan=ethernet.

I know that(how do you think we came up with lan partys) but would it involve me updating my bois?
Cold Storm
12-22-2007, 07:24 PM
well, alot of times, the lan card needs to update for new things. it doesn't need any type of bois update. Just look and see in your hardware connections if it needs to update hardware. and try asus's website... When was the last time you updated your board?

I'd go to asus and check for all your updates for your board... I'd check for updates on your board at lease every 3 to 4 months..
Just do it for your lan. Then later on update it all.
