Hey guys, I have an ol' x2 4400 AMD, I believe its the 110 watt version. I also have a gig of sh!tty dell ram (pc 3200) and an abit AT8 motherboard. for cooling, I have the zalman 95 (the copper one everybody has) and this is my problem: I get this bad-boy from 2.2 stock to 2.6 on air and my temps are 40-41 C, and when i run too many games, apps, and play oblivion, freeze up while alt tabbing, i have to manually hold the power button and shut down. Then, when i check my freq., im back down to 2.2

what the fook.

am i doing something wrong?:confused:

What are you using to check your frequency?

when you hold the power button to reset it sets your OC back to stock?

sounds like your mobo is resetting because it's overloading. some of the old abits used to do that, it's kinda like it's resetting the cmos it's self because the mobo detects errors.

Yea, it resets itself when i hold the power button. Whenever i do that, i just check the freq. in the BIOS and yea, its 2.2. lucky me!

not being funny but if it only happens when you alt tab then dont alt tab!! it does load your ram up if your playing a game and you alt tab so that one thing it could be! also use cpu z and show us a few print screens as it might not be a stable overclock so when the cpu is used 100percent your get a crash and then a auto reset cmos
