I recently bought two bluetooth usb adaptors, one for my pc (always online@10Mbps) and one for my htpc, so that I can use internet from my living room... I managed to get internet streeming as well as file transfer to work. However, quite often the LAN is interrupted and connection is lost, and so I have to re-establish it manually:banghead:.

How can I keep the LAN online, constantly?

And another issue (I admit ignorance) is the fact that I want to be able to see and have full access, to both pcs and all folders, from one of them. How  am I supposed to do this?

htpc operating system: xp pro sp2 (last update 25/12/2007)

pc operating system : vista ultimate + xp pro sp2 (last update 21/12/2007)

Please help, I beg of you,:respect: HELP !!!!!

How far apart are the computers? Walls in between? Its probably disconnecting because Bluetooth isnt meant to go all that far, nor through walls.

the adaptors are the {LEVEL ONE MDU-0025USB BLUETOOTH 2.0 CLASS 1} 3Mbps over 100 meters.

I use them at a distance of 8 meters with no walls in between.

hmm interesting, your using them @ 8m, so distance isnt the problem, i am thinking it may be a driver problem, try to find an updated driver or a third party one :)

tried it...no update drivers.

In any case, I donīt think itīs a drivers issue cause the link actually works and after about transfering 200 or 300mb of a 700mb movie, it justs stops transfering...:banghead:
No screensavers activated, no schedules programmed.
I actually managed to transfer a :wtf: 2GB folder with no problems, but that was a one off :banghead:

tell me what more info you might want me to let you on and iīll get it posted!

PLEASE HELP

maybe your overstressing the connection, wireless does the same thing from time to time, especially when i transfer files of around 10gb, and thats with 108mbps super-g,
that might be the problem :(

ok Maybe I am overstressing the LAN...:(

But how can I have access to the hard drives and folders of the other pc? What is the process I have to follow so that I can open any folder of the other pc?

you could spend 10-25 and get some usb 54g adapters those should work better

Thanks anyway!
