Well lads!! the brother of mine told meh to sign up here for advice on buyin a new monitor! ya might know him as PXzyan or somethin :p well anywayz advice would be greatly appreciated!

I love mine and the Widescreen is good too. Other thing to keep in mind is res and what your video card can handle. All though even with mine default res 1600x1200 games still look good at 1200x1024 still.
It's been sweet for games. I'm a very Avid games fast and slow paced.

I dont think newegg ship to ireland..even if it did..the shipping would be pricey :p
We both do our buying on komplett! and we plan on sticking to komplett or ebay :p

samsung is a great brand so i think thats a great choice but personally i wouldnt get anything but 1000:1 contrast because the picture is just better. that being said anything over 1000:1 is usually giving up quality in other areas so it can have over 1000:1 contrast.
my advice is 5ms response time and 1000:1 contrast is what too look for

hanns-g aint a bad brand in personal experience, had mine for 6 months now and its fine just looks a bit old in terms of design. its yet to best my old dell tft that lasted for 3 years + mind..

only has 500:1 Image Contrast Ratio :( 700:1 is the minimum for me :D
