Hello,

I have a Club 3D 9800SE AIW and want to flash it to a PRO. Ive been useing the softmod drivers for a while and i have troubles with it. For example, my TV must be in fullscreen or my system freezes after a minute (but the TV keeps on playing). Now ive done e format, and installed everything with the stock drivers...
The preformance is much lower now so i want it back unlocked. Now my card is flashed with the Club3D 9800 Pro AIW 128 MB bios. But it still works with 4 pipelines....

What bios should i take then?

thnx

well its pointless bois flashing the 9800se unless you are going to 8pixel pipelines if you have the L shaped ram then it can be unlocked to better performance and check with ati tool to see if its registering at a r350

it's an r350
but its ok now, i installed the softmodded drivers and everything works fine now... No idea what the freezing problem was before the format, i just messed around a bit with different drivers since it was brand new then and i wanted to test everything, you know ;)

Hi Cool Cow, I know very very well this video Card, (I mod more than 10 of these Ati before). My card is ATi native 9800 SE AIW, I think the Club 3D's card is the some of the ATi reference board, with L-shaped RAM.
You says you flash the 9800 PRO Bios to unlock all the 8 pipelines without using a softmodded drivers. But this doesn't work ok, this is not sufficient.

You absolutely need the HARDMOD, you need to move one little resistance near you're R350 core. This resistance select the Active pipelines for R350 CORE.
one position is for 4 pipeline Working (for 9800SE) the other position is for 8 pipeline working(for 9800PRO).

Flashing 9800PRO bios doesn't make any change if you don't move this resistance.
Do the Hardmod and you'll see your card become an 9800 PRO, there is no need to flash Bios again...
