x800 pro pipe unlock> cubes everywhere, help.!

Hi guys/girls i have just completed soft modding my sapphire x800 vivo to xt pe , gfx seems to handle ok ,

temps seem fine, plays all my games very well ,

Just i have these translucent cubes on screen made of small verticle lines whenever i play a game or watch a video on media player,

I have read that this could be down to faulty pipes that i enabled , I have tried to flash back original bios back to 12 pipes and pro clock speeds which seemed to work fine atitool said 12 pipes and pro clocks, but the cubes were still there ,worse than ever ,..so i flashed back to 16p xt pe clocks.

when running atitool and searching for artifacts says no errors found but screen has yellow cubes like chess board . Can anyone tell me if i can de-activate the pipes i originally enabled to remedy the problem. Or any other route i can take...Any help would be appreaciated took me ages to save up for this gfx card...with regards,...

p.s. i believe that i cant return card cause of the modding

you have to flash _your_ original bios back using the modified flashrom .. just using a bios downloaded off the internet might not work

when i saw the list of available bios for x800's within the tech power up archives , which seem to list almost every card type imaginable i didnt actually back up my original bios thinking that i could just 'download a new one'.

i do/did use the modified flashrom the flash back a bios which seem to match but was not 'the original',..

Looks like i'll keep searching for a matching bios.... Thanks

email me a bios which works for your card (but shows artifacts) to w1zzard@gmx.net and i'll see if i can fix it

hm i got something similar to this. b4 i got my cooler for my card and was just using the stock one i thought i would just enable the 16p on my card and leave it as x800pro untill i got my cooler. the flash went fine and i did back up my bios. but i got these boxes you speak of but it only happened when i first turned on my computer and the asus mobo picture was on screen, there were boxes all round the logo but in windows was fine and now that i have flashed to a proper xt bios it's all gone and now i have a different mobo too.
