All Intel 865 chipsets (this one is on your system too) have problems with the USB ports. You've probably fried you south bridge...sorry to let you know, but it was a matter of time.

nope, your board's gone. now, we were discussing a new system for you in the other thread you made. i guess you cant wait till spring break to build it now..

I found a new mobo for the gx270 online for $50,is there any aftermarket mobos that will fit in my case AND allow me to use the ddr 2700 ram and agp vcard?

why not just build a new system all together? weren't you getting a new video card and psu anyway?

NONYA

Yes BUT the PSU is built specificly for the gx270 mobo, and i want to reuse my ddr 27000 ram and agp card,if i can find a mobo that would take all three then it would be an option,i cant afford to buy all that shiznit over again.

ah well if the psu doesn't work on an atx board, you're most likely going to have to exchange the psu for something else. cause its usually difficult to find an oem board on ebay you know.

Heres a noob ?,if i get a replacement mobo exact part number as the one i fried if I install it will it boot or do I have to install some software?

if you get the exact same motherboard, it'll work, but it'll be hard to obtain the same motherboard. honestly, i think you're better off building a new system, but you can find a motherboard that'll do those things for you, but you'll need to get a different psu either way.

I don't think so, the pinouts on my dell were different from the "standard".
you would have to buy a new case. so buy the board you found, and plan on getting a new pc

it'd work, but you'd need a different psu and might have to reinstall windows

Other issues you have as well is custom 20\24 pin power connector. All so a differant NONE DELL mobo might not have all the fittings.

Like a lot are saying a new comp would be a better thing to do.

If I could afford one Id be working on it,this new mobo is already setting me back too far since I just ordered a PSU and vcard.
