Mem test errors what to make of it.

Comps been real naughty lately so I decided to check my ram! Im running a asus p5k black pearl board and patriot extreme 1066 ram 2x 1gb... I think my rams like dead.. havent even given it much voltage tested it @ 2.4v before its rated for 2.35v but initially patriot had this ram on thier website stating 2.6v :O.

also what are soem pointer for taking pictures of the bios screen? I think I was to close to the screen, the picture looks crappy and haves waves in it.

yeah I got some ocz stick.. this ram was working fine days ago or so I though.. this is my second build and second time I have ram issues lol(last time it was compatibility with my ds3 board).

yeah I have some oxz gold stick Im going to try in a bit, I'll also try 1 stick at a time since I do have that computer sold now.. good thing I didnt email buddy back and tell him to come pick up my old comp yet :P

Im going to have a shower atleast I solved the problem thats been hurling me for the last few days... got real bad yesterday trying to install some software.



Edit: Ive been real easy on this ram for the last 2 months lol 800mhz 5-5-5-12 lol... well what do you think of going 2x 2gb sticks? I can still catch a awsome sale on some.

prop a bad stix the OCZ swap out will confirm ...can you still RMA the other if so all is good

yeah I just pulled 1 stick out and like 20 mins memtest no errors.. donno if I'll get by with 1 stick lol wish I picked up the deal on ocz gold now.. 2gb's was only 14$ + taxes after $30 MIR @ Nicx.ca.

well atleast I have a solution to the madness that was going on with my rig lol.


Hey Frogger do you think I need to format? like CP still only flashes up on my screen... I dont think theres a way to fix it?

Yeah, I almost pulled the trigger on the Platinum for $18 after MIR, but chickened out at the last minute since I didn't really need them(I have 4GB of Ballistix and 2GB of Platinum already - cant resist deals).

Anyway, can you RMA those stix (don't know Patriots warranty)?

yeah patriot has a huge warrenty Im sure, shouldnt be a prob to rma. Im making a cart at nicx again lol.. oh that just reminded me I might get a 120 or 240mm swiftech rad/res in one for my gpu loop :P

sucks about the ram but ohwell now I know whats wrong and its a easy fix... to bad I think I have to format my HD again! my system is corrupt eg. control panel wont stay open :shadedshu ohwell I will win this battle of me vrs my computer(s) lol.
