There are 50 cards available for a very low price (35euro inclu shipping) from the same batch.
Ozone 3D fur benchmark is used to measure the cards performance.
The 5 winners of round 1, which lasts a month, get a free 8800GT which they have to push as far as possible to eventually win a new pair of 8800GT's in SLI in the finals after round 2.

Let snuif09 do his own OCing just like everybody else in the contest.

EDIT: I can report you to the moderator @ hardware.info which will see this as cheating which means disqualification and having to pay 50€. Your choice.

I agree with Juggernaut, in a competition, you don't ask for help, you do it yourself.
If you're training, that's fine, finding help, but if this is for the final competition, do it yourself.

First off im not trying to flame anyone, i just think everybody deserves an equal chance to win in a competition.
An overclocking guide for this series in general is a good thing to ask for. Asking help for a competition isnt. The first benefits more people then yourself:)

Maar even he, zoals je weet kan je nu ook gewoon meedoen! kijk maar op de website er komen nu onbeperkt aantal kaarten komt door het grote suc6 :toast:Hardware.info is met XFX aan tafel gaan zitten en iedereen kan bestellen alleen worden de kaarten niet net als bij de eerst 50 mensen voor een bedrag onder de inkoopprijs aangeboden maar gewoon voor de normale Internet winkel prijzen ik ben €45 kwijt.

Hi all!
I am new here and came by my 8400gs =P

My card's stock clock is 460/400 and i put 600/1100/420 whit NiBiTor and already played alot and have no problem.
Raising shader to 1150 my 32bits colors in windows goes to 4 colors :wtf:
I can put core up to 650 whit stability.

I found this volt mod on the internet ... What you guys think?

NiBiTor and RivaTuner can't modify any voltage.
Not did the volt mod yet, but I hope to do fryday, until there i have no time ...

haha yoor engelische is vary bat :laugh: BTW if you want to be helpfull for me and the guys that are in the competion like SNuif and me,( a coke addic :)) Joking SNuif ! you could run a benchmark test for us:)

You need to do the following things:
-Download 3dmark2001 at http://www.futuremark.com/download/3dmark2001/
-CPU Z in the back with the tabels memory and CPU on
-And show in rivatuner or what Overclock tool you used for the card, on what frequenties you made the card run. ( i would appriciate it the most if you run the highest overclock that you can pull of with the card), and post a foto of the results.

PS: only run the Nature benchmark the other ones we do not need them

Ok thanks for the posts ! but can you only run the Nature test for the people like me? and show GPU clock with temp of the card. We don´t have to do the whole test :laugh:

i need your help. i have a XFX 8400GS 512MB 64Bits OC to 660/1600/300 from 450/1200/266. i know that the 8500GT has the same GPU of the 8400GS. i would like to flash my 8400GS into 8500GT. i tried but call of duty4 crash and only 256MB of dedicated video memory with the bios XFX 8500GT 512MB.

There is no reason whatsoever to flash a 8400GS to 8500GT.
There's absolutely nothing to gain by doing that.

ok, it looks better with the label 8500GT, 8400GS OC 512MB --> labeled 8500GT 512mb, cool.

in other words, i will have a 8400GS OC 512mb labeled as 8500GT 512mb.
