hey there i would like to know what is according to you guys the best cpu cooler there is
full copper or copper and aluminium i like copper because its the best heat disperser there is
there are so many company´s that offers good and bad cpu coolers so please elabarate what do u think is best for your cpu and why :respect:

Truly great coolers are a mixture of copper AND alu.
Copper is best for heat TRANSFER, and Alu is better for dissipation. The AC freezer cooler is great because it has a copper base and heatpipes to get heat away from the cpu quickly, while the heat is transferred to the aluminum and dissipated with the help of the fan.

Best air cooler according to many people/review sites (and that I've had) is Thermalright Ultra 120 Exreme. It's tall, so check your case dimensions before you buy to see if it fits. You can find it for about $50-60 (at least when I bought), but you have to buy/use your own fan on it. It decreased my load temps by about 8C from my Zalman 9700 HSF, so yeah, its very good from my standpoint.

Edit: Wow! Just saw your specs Joker.:respect: Very nice - should have no problem getting the TR Ultra 120 Ex. in that case. Have you pushed that QX past 4Ghz yet?:D

Two excellent but fairly unknown coolers. They are both huge, and cool awesome...The Nirvana cools as well as a Tuniq Tower...maybe even better.

your best heat transfer is done by using a combination of both copper and aluminum.

the copper is best at drawing heat in and aluminum is best at giving off heat into the air so the copper heatpipes with aluminum fins will be the most efficient coolers and those that have soldered on base and fins and not just pressed on will be the best coolers.

often 2 coolers that look the same will cool much differently due to these easily overlooked differences.

a custom water/tec cooling kit would be your best water cooling cooler

and a tweaked vapochill lightspeed would your best compressor cooling solution

but best for last, LN2 is the best cpu cooler there is.

I'll say it again. Scythe Infinity!! I have yet to see any hsf that can beat it when you put a good fan on it. The one Scythe provides is very quite though. If you read reviews about hsfs make sure you look at the noise level. A hsf maintaining 45c with a 65db fan is much worse then a hsf maintaining 48c with a 28db fan.

The best conventional CPU cooler thats out there at the moment is the Thermalright IFX 14. Its a bit big however... Scythe infinity has been proven to do worse than the themralright IFX 14 lazzer unfortuneately :p

With the stock fan probably. They put the slowest one they could on it. Then again I speak from experience not reviews. ;)

If you want something that may cool a little better but is clunky and loud, then sure.. ZALMAN isn't the cooler for you :)

no not yet i had so safe a long time for my machine but i am looking for a good cpu cooler that can handle everything even if i push it to 4ghz :roll: but i was thinking on taking a watercooler for everything but thats so expensive here in finland i would like to keep my rig so cool as possible, my mobo is 27c and my cpu is now 30c so thats good :respect: i hate fans that are quiet only 1000rpm noway that will not come in my rig my front fans run at 2400 rpm full load and my back fans runs at 3400 rpm and i can live with the noise its not bad

my memory was pro bank 214- euro
my video card 679- euro (was ale at antilla or price reduction normal was 799)
my fans from antec total 56- euro tricool fans
my antec psu 1000 watt 255- euro
my harddrives total 550- euro for 6 pieces
my dvd player 50- euro
my dvd burner 79- euro
my audio card 176- euro
my tft monitor was 699- euro
and vista wel that was about 589- euro for retail

so total 4777-. euro it took me about 2 years to safe for it and about 2 hours to install all

Good stuff. Since your not worried about noise, I would get either the Thermalright IFX-14 or Ultra 120 Extreme and put 1 or 2 (or 3 for the IFX:D) 120mm highest CFM fans that you can find on them and it should be the best air cooling you can get.

O Overclocked my rig yesterday evening late had to play with some volt regulators to achive the right volt but as you can see its just over 4,2 ghz and it is still running stable :respect:

Any Thermalright is a good deal. My friend's si-128 keeps his Core 2 Duo @ 3.45 ghz below 54 degrees at load.

it is the IFX-14 cost about 100 euro here plus shipping cost 34 euro so total 134- euro
takes about 1 week and than i can uninstall my mobo and install the new cpu cooler :toast:

My Ultima 90 is half the size of the Scythe and matches it. The Scythe is a great cooler in the top five but the Ultra extreme is generally considered the best main stream air cooler. I owned a Scythe even with three 63cf fans it didn't beat my Ultra Extreme I owned with one 120mm, 63cf fan. I would have kept The Ultra Extreme except it wouldn't fit in my case. Now I have a Thermalright Ultima 90 with a 92mm fan on it and it matches my old Scythe yet fits in my case. It doesn't , however, match my old Ultra Extreme temps, not even close.
