The primary problem I am having is that I have a monitor that I connect to my computer and no image comes to the screen. The LED light on the monitor flashes when the cable is plugged into the computer and when I unplug the monitor from the computer the LED is solid and an image comes up on the screen that says "Computer is working check cable". Then when I plug the cable in I get no image at all again. I can't seem to get this monitor working with any computer. Why? How do I reset the monitor so it will work? - Thanks, Dan

Does it work with any other computers?
Does any other monitor work on this computer?
I have had a similar issue and it seemed that the issue was the mobo was faulty.

One monitor has worked on this computer. But the monitor I'm having trouble with has worked on other computers.

And I've tried about three different monitors on this one computer and only one worked, the others behave strangely. Thanks for the help though.

1.) have you had the screen and pc working before this or is it a new build / upgrade
2.) What graphics card is it
3.) what power supply do you have (model & watts / amps output)

Some of the new graphics cards are quite power hungry and I have come across this problem personally where my power supply diddnt give enough juice to boot up the machine.
My screen would stay black and my power light would flick and it would also say something along the lines of "check the cable is plugged in).
Funny thing was it was running fine for a few weeks and then all of a sudden, nothing.

I ended up getting a new power supply and havent looked back since ;)
