Air Flow...in or out?

Here are my fans in my case:

120mm intake in the front
92mm intake on side
80mm Blower on top sucking out
120mm blowing out in back
PCI slot fan and blower above graphics card blowing down on ran heatsink and sucking out back
Artic Cooler on Graphics card
Stock heatsink and fan on CPU
mini 2 inch fan sucking heat off ram
two fans in the PSU
small fan cooler on HD



my question???


should the blower on top be an intake????

^i had to custom cut the slot in the top for it.....so I hope its fine.

Overall.....do i have enough air coming in the case?

My temps are fine.....i just wanted to know what you thought?

Fans at a higher position should be blowing out as hot air rises. Generally you should have same cfm of air blowing in and out, however, I've heard that having more air going out can result in a less dusty inside :)

Hey dude, I asked a professional because I had the same problem trying to figure my case fans out. According to him (he's a rep for Atrix, a PC case builder), top fans blow in, front fans blow in, side fans blow in, and rear fans blow out. Maybe there are exceptions like where side fans are mounted, but I'm pretty sure that everything sucks except the rears, and they're exhaust.

I would do front and side intake, top and rear exhaust. It just makes sense, heat rises so you will want to push it out the top with the side to top, then the front to rear provides airflow for everything else.

It is good to have a fan blowing cool air in the top because cool air falls, there for it will cool stuff on the way down. Your best off having a mix.

yeah, hot air rises, cool air settles..... so, best if the exhaust fans are on the upper position of the case...

i have two 80mm fans at the back just below the PSU sucking air out and one 80mm side intake.............. i just hate the dust though that it sucks in...
