What is their rated speed?
Usually ADSL2 rates are exaggerated by marketers.

I've got their 24 mb/sec connection...
i'll admit i get nowhere near that speed, I actually get about 3-4 mb/sec... however this effective speed is faster than i've been able to receive from any other provider in my area.
Their prices aren't too bad and it depends what city you are in tbh, the further south you are in the country the better luck people seem to have with their connections. I know a few people further down south with it who are getting 15mb/sec.
I would recommend them as even though you dont get the speed advertised its still faster than other providers, their fair usage policy is not set really low like other providers, and for your money you also get nice things like a static ip etc.

just be aware that internet is writen in megabits (not megabytes!) there are approximately 8 megabits in a megabyte & same goes for kilobits & kilobytes.
generally with ADSL2+ ur speed will drop significantly the further you are from the exchange.
this chart may not be totaly relevant to you but it will give you an idea of the speed drop. (http://www.internode.on.net/adsl2/graph/)

Thats "cable extreme" right?
Im pretty sure Im in a good area for pretty much any ISP plan.
I started off a couple of years back paying $54.95 for 256/128 cable and when they rewrote the plans they stuck me on the up to 8 or 12megabit plan, Im pretty sure it was 8mb.

im stuck on 1500/256.
just moved back in with my dad after living in the gold coast for about 8 months.
we're in an area where we cant get ADSL2+ & even if we can were probably to far to receive speeds very far above 1500!:(
& im stuck on a 12GB plan...... & that includes uploads!
:banghead:*I said "NOT TELSTRA", but nooooooooo!*
