I know that, but was 'way' below it, but it was due to hardware settings carry over from old isp which was significantly slower.

Might a noob not even deserve a question asked so that one can help him tune his system?
He edited his post to Nevermind! - It is not nice...

Try leaving the original message on XonDK, it helps others who are asking the same questions. (search "help with" and see how many repeats there are )

if you're refering to torrents... you need to seed the S*** out of whatever you can. i seeded for 3 weeks, just stupid stuff like music and smaller files. now i can DL at 1200-1700kb/s(12mb/s line).... but you still need to let things continue to seed after you finish your download(s) in order to keep your share ratio up.

Yeah that's the way it is now. 1mb in the ISP language actually is 100kb not 1024kb. I freaking hate that! I was visiting a friend of mine in Spain and he said he had internet so I asked him how fast. He was like 4mbs. I said HOW MUCH? Let me test it. The connection was actually slower than what I have at home...

i know a guy that lives in japan and has a 48mb line that can do 6-8mb/s DL's and 3mb/s upload. i didn't believe it but the screen shots confirmed 49341kb/s DL and 3348kb/s UL. im looking to see if i still have the screen shots...
