Hi, I'm new to the forums and i'm having a problem. I have a radeon 9500 128mb 256-bit vid card and i got the softmod to work the first time but after i restarted, it went back to 4 pipes instead of 8.Now no matter if i uninstall the drivers and reinstall them with the softmodded ones, it still stays at 4 pipes. I currently went back the the original ATI drivers. Could someone help me plz?

Thanks.

How did you first get the card to 8pipelines? Just uninstall everything, get back your extra pipelines, and install the regular drivers :D

dude, i *really* dont think that 9500's have 8 pipes. only 4 like 9600's.

i'm not even sure they made 256bit versions of 9500's...

i could be completley wrong here, but i dont think i am.

I just installed the softmodded drivers from this site (http://www.techpowerup.com/softmod/) and checked with atitool and it had 8 pipelines and when i restarted i checked stitool to make sure it stayed at 8 pipes and it didn't and yes, the 9500 is built on the same platform as the 9700 (r300) and i have the 256-bit version so my 9500 has 4 locked pipelines. Only the pro platform of the radeon cards can't be softmodded.

But even if i uninstall the drivers and reinstall them with the softmodded ones, ati tool still says i have only 4 pipelines. I've also tried adding the file myself and using just the display driver and the whole package and also uninstalling the drivers then restarting to install the new set. Still didn't work.
