So I got my Samsung 22" 225BW monitor today (Awesome btw!)

My thoughts are: Will I need to get two ATI HD 3870 cards for being able to play games like COD4, WIC, Orange box. On full details in 1680x1050 ? or is ONE card enough?

Thanks in advance Philip

My other specs are:

Intel Core 2 duo E6850 3 GHZ
2048mb Crucial Ballistics PC8500 CL5 ram
ASUS P5E Mobo
Thermaltake toughpower 750W

Lol so LCD's do that also?

My CRT gives me free AA the cathode in the back is out of alignment just enough to blur but not enough to annoy.

My hd3850 512mb works perfectly with my 22' monitor

i think 256mb ram for up to 19' & 512mb for over 19'

so you will be just fine.

Actually I would reccomend 512mb for any resolution games are starting to use alot more GRAM. I think 512mb will be the new standard for Mid-range and highend in the next year honestly.

My CRT gives me free AA the cathode in the back is out of alignment just enough to blur but not enough to annoy.

they have x amount of pixels.. this is the native resolution all pixels working..

when running a lower resolution they "interpolate".. in essence they try and blur the unused pixels into each other to produce the lower than native resolution..

in windows this interpolation can mess up fonts and dosnt look good if carried too far below native..

in games its hardly noticable.. but in essence it does work like free AA when u run lower than native..

1400 x 900 is a nice alternative to 1680 x 1050..
