i tried to print pdf from adobe acrobet 8.1 and .doc file from ms word 2007...before 1 month it was fine...rightnow also we can see printing process working on..but letters are invisible :D
hope you are understanding...i mean ink is moving form top to bottom and printing seen only at point where any colour[picture or letters] is there [if it is otherwise totally blank paper come out form printer]

i simply click on print button and then ok..

Isn't there in properties a way to make your printer print black? there should be away in there where you can go from color, bl/w and grayscale.

not idea as i just click on print button always and it prints normally always..dont know what happend this time..
i think black ink is dried up..can it be a reason?
as printer is working and we can see it but invisible printing for black letters..
colour letters or images are printed fine so no problem with colour ink..

well hows this... are you able to copy the text of the pdf file? if so, then just take it to Ms word, and change the font color to blue... then see if thats the problem..
how long has it been since you used the printer? its ink and it can dry up, but even black is suppose to be used when you print in color.

I would guess your blank ink is dried up. Try replacing it.

Could be the emitter on the ink cartridge has dried ink blocking it. Usually a little warm water can unclog it. Try soaking that part of the cartridge in a shallow pan of warm water for a few minutes, then use canned air to "dry" it before re-installing.

Print a photographic image with true black in it somewhere and see if it comes out correctly. If not, then yes, replacing your black ink cartridge should do it.

Edit: And yes, Namslas' suggestion is a good one, though I'd suggest alcohol instead of water.

Depends on the cartridge, if it has a metal tape emitter, alcohol will loosen the glue and cause more problems/ruin the cartridge, most inks are water soluable.

Yeah, Namslas suggestion is definitely a good one, and he is right about the alcohol thing.

Well it seems your black&white cartridge is spent. You could print it in a dark shade of blue or purple, my mom does that sometimes when the cartridge is dead and it's late at night and she can't buy one...

Well the easiest way is to change the text color in Word or whatever you're using into the darkest shade of blue or purple and then try printing a page that way and see if you like it...
