I'm having problems with the latest drivers from ATI- the 7.12 drivers, I have a PowerColor X1950XT 512mb gddr3 and I am experiencing BSOD's when I start games such as BF2 and UT3.

Now in the BSOD it says the device driver got stuck in an infinate loop or such and that the file is ati2dvag which is the video driver if im correct. Now I just need to know what the best driver is for my X1950XT 512 card, I have allready uninstalled my previous drivers which were the 7.12's.

Tried the 8.1's yet? They were just released. On AMD's website it lists the proper way to uninstall your drivers, did you read it?
If so you may have to go into the registry as follows.
First uninstall display driver, restart.
Click>Start>Run>type "regedit"
First backup! Click>File>Export and save to desktop
Under the folders HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE there are software folders. Look in each of the software folders for anything ATi related (excluding chipset if applicable) and delete. Exit.

Go into the Windows folder and delete everything possible in the temp and prefetch folders.
Empty recycle bin.
Restart.
Install new drivers.
