I have an msi 3870 now and was thinking of getting another one since i'm working overtime :) i have a 450 watt power supply now and it runs the one 3870 fine ,the only problem is that i had to extend the 6pin pcie connector. Now i'm going to shop for another power supply and I don't want to make the mistake of getting a ps with a short little 6pin pcie connector again. any advice as to what i should be looking for?? looking to spend up to 100 bucks maybe a little more!thanks!

A little over, but should be fine for your needs. Just don't go crazy on the overclocking. lol.

This is a good one, almost in your budget after MIR.

thanks! its hard to really tell of the cables are long enough! i guess if its sli or crossfire ready then it should have a second connector thats long enough.

I have the PC P&C 610 Silencer. My Chenming 301 looks to be the same size as your Coolermaster Cavalier. The cables should be plenty long enough for you. I have no problems with reaching my 3850. I bet the 23" long pci-e plugs could easily reach the bottom slot np. The PC P&C 5 year warranty sure is nice. :)

yeah with this asus m2a mvp board, if you are running one video card. it has to occupy the blue pcie slot which is the one farthest away from the cpu. about the only thing that sucks about the board.

40C is like 105F...so if you are running you computer outside, in the summer, and live in Vegas...sure that would matter. Any who, the PC&C is an excellent psu, but i dont see why the advertise so much on the 40C.

Because that's not the ambient temp they're referring to, but the temp inside the unit. It can reach those temps in an ACed environment under heavy load in a cramped case.
