hi, i use bittorent a lot, and because i am constantly downloading this means my main PC is always on (i struggled to "burn in" my arctic silver 5) and i really would be lost without my computer. Anyways i was looking for somthing the other day and found one of my old AMD Socket A boards, with 700MHz Athlon inside it and 320MB RAM, and an idea suddenly popped into my head
"use the AMD for downloading", so i have set it all up, but the problem is, i only have 1 monitor and only enough space for one full set up.

so is there any software that i can "buy" or get to allow me to fully control the AMD computer through the network, somthing a little VMware only with a real computer and controlling it fully thru the network just like actually plugging a keyboard, mouse and monitor into it?

thanks in advance :toast::toast:

Synergy is a virtual KVM switch. Its a tad funky to config, and it seems the main site is down, therefore no setup guide. You might have to google around.

realvnc

I prefer ultravnc over realvnc, mostly for file transfer...which he may want for his bittorrents.

tightvnc http://www.tightvnc.com/
and windows shares to transfrer files between computers..

or if the 700mhz amd computer has xp pro or w2k, use remote desktop connection instead of tightvnc. (remote desktop is like the only ms software that is better than the others :D)
