well my puter was recently oc'd well their is a prob no game has trouble with this exept ut2k4 i have oc'd to 1404 mhz it will only run kinda stable at like 1350 i mean kinda cause unless im @ stock speeds...the mouse will freeze sometimes...the game is still running (ppl still shooting @ me etc) so i dont know what to do my temps r fine all the other games work but this one will

1-not boot up and force a restart

2-play and then quit and give me somekind of processor error

3-the mouse will freeze leading to frustrating game play

is their a way around this?

thnx.

Mouse problems are quite common with UT games, try looking for updates :)

I've never had a problem with the many of my unreal games and mice.

Sounds like a heat(overclock) issue.

My ti4200 was overheating, and the screen would pause for a few seconds, sounds would still play, and then resume play...

turns out it was heat.... and drivers... which is quite strange.. but ah..

Try newest catalyst drivers, and putting a fan by video card. (cpu too!!!)

Check that your graphics card is actually supported by the latest catalyst drivers, they were talking about dropping your card. . . .

Go to the download section, and mulch thru the forms till you get to the Catalyst download, and there should be a mini description :D

Try cleaning the rollers that make contact with the mouse ball. If they are dirty it will often cause your mouse to stick.

good news everyone well i cleaned my rollers and it didnt help but it DID need cleaning but...i downloded the drivers (newer ones) for my sound card so now it is regognized better i guess cause now i can adjust advanced options in my games instead of just "hard ware sound"....i can choose eax and what not now and i noticed while playing it wasnt really the game after it would start to chop and the sound would stutter but my comp is like double the recommended all the way around?....but i got the new drivers and it runs fine now :) so it was a sound issue :) relief
