Hey all, this is my first post,

I recently purchased an 8800GT G92, Im wondering what a good cooler would be for it.. it seems to run hot.

first out, install rivatuner and force the fan to run 100% constant, that should keep it cool enough while you purchase the after market cooling. personally with 100% fan i am completely satisfied with the cooling.

as for the new cooling, it seems the Arctic Accelero S1 or Thermalright HR-03-GT are the go, both of them are passive coolers that do very well standalone, and then even better when you point a fan at it/attach a fan to it.

Just buy a good case like the Antec Nine Hundred and never buy extra cooling for your hardware again...

eVGA now sells dual-slot coolers for the 8800gt for $40.

+1:rockout: to the Accelero S1, I have the Accelero S2 on my 8600gt. My modded my cards bios with overclocked settings and the card never gets over 55 C on load.

zlaman vf900cu, it's pretty much silent, comes with ramsinks too.

the only bad thing is that it doesn't vent the warm air out the back of the case.

I can verify that the S2 also works perfectly on the 8800GT, not to mention it's cheaper than the S1

I use a VF-900 and it hasn't failed me yet.

Accelero S1, hands down the best cooler for the 8800GT.
