I was cleaning my machine, when I plugged everything back in, then pushed power button there was no response, there was still the green light lit on the mother board but upon pressing ON button there was no respones :/ dead mobo? dead psu? There were no signs of burns or popped caps, there were also no bad smell coming from the machine... This stumped me as I just got my psu replaced on december...Wishing for a miracleThanks

Did you knock any wires loose? Like the wires that plug into the MB for the power switch?

Maybe reset your CMOS and see what happens? How were you cleaning your machine?

Make sure you have the front pin connectors on correctly. Putting them on backwards makes them not want to work.

I was just dusting the lower part of the case, there was no loose wires I've placed them back in, the 4 pin power connector on the pc wont fit on another direction right? It'll fit just only 1 way? (e.g. the nothces on the connector on the mobo and on the psu).I've opened the case to see what happens when I push on the power button. The cpu fan moves for a short moment and stops deads. And no power...

I've had that issue before, and a few times clearing the CMOS via jumper, and/or removing CMOS battery (remove PSU power cord first to ensure proper drain). But I've also had an issue where my MB didn't like my RAM...try one stick in SLOT 1. And in one instance, no matter what I did, the MB was just dead...

HOW were you dusting the case? Anything that may have caused a static electricity discharge?

I'm using a lint free cloth, one that is used to clean cars.

Edit:

A MIRACLE!!! It turned on!!!!!

I dunno how but, all I did was remove all psu connections from devices, left mobo power and cpu 4 pin turned it on, it went on. Then I started plugging stuff 1 by 1 and turning it on each time... Now it's a ok.. LOL gave me a super scare :(..

Maybe psu cable doesn't want to be twisted or something like that
