On my motherboard, there is a 4 pin connector called EATX 12V and the other 4 pin connector is covered by a plastic covering. Should I just use the 4 pin connector with the power supply or take off the covering and use all 8 pins? Any advice would be great.

Use all 8pins if you have a quad or a really fast dual.

EDIT: I would use 8pin with a E8400

If you have an 8pin AUX, utilize it. It may help the board stable out better when overclocking.

Yes the extra 4 pins i think are for helping the 2nd pci-e slot out if you run dual cards if your psu has a 8 pin connector use that but if it only has a 4 pin then just use the 4 and leave the other coverd.

my board has this feature but its not all in one plug like yours mines a molex type

use the 8 pin will help with the EPU power chip and over clking
