Hello, i have this problem and im sure you guys here can solve this out.

My X1900XT 512MB, has a problem with the memory refresh rate, it only works perfect, if i use ATI tool and i set the memory refresh rate (RR) to 0xA ... like this:

http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/3318/mrrrt9.th.jpg (http://img526.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mrrrt9.jpg)Original RR for this card is 1D (hexadecimal) , and i must use it at ĻAĻ.

Ive tried Rabit 2.2 but when i save the bios file with the new setting 0xA , it just doesnt saves it, i re open it and it keeps at 1D ...

So i need someone that could edit this in HEXADECIMAL, or tellme where is this Mem refresh rate section in the bios, using a hex editor.

So i can make a bios using this RR.

The problem is when i restart the pc, outside windows, i see dots, like artifacts sometimes, red, blue ones, but if i do this in ati tool, all this stuff is out, and the card works perfect, even at the most demanding games, 3dmark05, 06, etc.

Can someone help me? the videocard is the Sapphire X1900XT 512mb , i could up my current bios, but this can be found at techpowerup.com the bios collection.

Hope someone can help me .

Thanks.

Could it be that when in Windows you are using one portion of the card and when in H/W boot mode, you are using another mode that is controlled by other settings?

Perhaps you can use Computer Base's program and set the Boot Clocks lower, while leaving the settings you like unchanged?

I don't know if it'll work with your X1900. I am just poking around here myself but there are lots of good people here with High Quality information.

Good Luck,
