Whats up guys, when i have to shoot 4 feet in front of someone in quake 4 @ <10 feet away, would this be ghosting? Also, when i move suddenly, all the images tEAR THE F#CK UP and my eyes get confused of whats happening, everything dissolves into this swirl of mutual ugliness. Sooo, is my cheap 15inch dell 25 ms monitor the problem? the 25 ms? Im thinking of getting the 226BW sammyin a month.
god i hate my monitor, i have NO CHANCE of even trying to shoot someone with the railgun in quake 4. railing them is just not possible unless they are standing still and im standing still

cant beat crt for gaming but they are chunky
your monitor is a problem. but there are other factors to consider like graphics lag or even down to game server speed.
but a faster monitor would help loads 25ms is well slow for gaming.

Sounds very much like it could be the monitor. Just make sure you don't buy one thats to big for your hardware to handle as they have native res. All though that said mine is 1600x1200 but i can find games playable at 1260x1024 but any lower it gets real bad..
Since i stopped using CRT's my eyes do feel much better. My eye's are real sensitive and even 75Htz was to low for my liking. However it's a none issue with LCD's at 60\75Htz.
