First X1800XT Review

I'm not impressed. Unless ATI comes out with something that has more pipelines for the same price or has some magical driver that makes it a lot faster I think I'm going to get a GTX. They're basically faster and defenitely cheaper.

He was not bound by an NDA and seemed to be a little angry over it so he got the AiB partner to benchmark it for him.

In otherer words, he did NOT bench it himself, he gave the Taiwanese AiB partner some scripts and told them to run it.

Here are some quotes from ATI's Chris Hook :

" Fiction. I don't believe these numbers were ever run on a 520 ".

"This is a complete hoax - done with an OC'd X850, we think. Call our partners yourself and ask if they have R520XTs in house. The numbers aren't even close."


What I will say is expect something similar when NDA is lifted.
