Hi, I'm looking to buy a non-factory oc'd 9600GT,and oc it myself. My concern is, some manufacturers like XFX skimps on the memory modules and use Qimoda 1.4ns instead(as seen in the 8800GS). Do you guys know any company that always use samsung chips? Thanks!

ive read somewhere that by reference they all use 1.0ns chips, maybe xfx is the cheapo outfit amongst em all , read the 9600gt roundup on vr-zone

On next Tuesday i'll receive my new heatsink for my 8800GS.
I'll note chips reference. May be I have 1.0ns chips yet ... but i doubt ( max mem O/C @ 1GHz ).
My 7900 GS 512 Palit is built around 1.2ns Qimonda.

8800GS by EVGA is built around 1.0ns Samsung chips ... ... mem O/C must be better than XFX ones, starting 1GHz stock potential.
