how much of it do you need? is this for a dell?

Most PC2700 and PC3200 RAM is backward compatible. You should check ebay since I've seen tons of used DDR ram go for cheap. Sometimes there are bundles/lots of random cheapo DDR RAM totaling up to 2GB-3GB going for under $10.

it is not PC2700 which is 333mhz i believe but its PC2100 is 233mhz

I have some PC2100 sitting right here on my desk. 256MB stick, CL2.5, 266Mhz.

It is out of a machine that died due to a lightning strike, so I don't know if it is working or not. So $10 shipped?
