What do you mean single sided and double sided?

The ram IC are aligned on one side of the PCB...single sided
Or they are on both sides of the RAM PCB...double sided

What do you mean single sided and double sided?

crucial started making the 1gig sticks with the chips on only one side of the stick. the new sticks SUCK and dont overclock very well at all. they are gearing up for 2gig sticks, which run pretty good. next week you will see balistix ram in 2x2gig kits!

simm= single sided inline memory modual

dimm= dual sided inline memory modual

they've been making dimms for the past few years with almost every stick of ram. it performs better i guess. they are trying to cut costs now though and the simm is back.
