First CryEngine 2 video

The german game developer Crytek who presented one of the best FPS with their shooter Far Cry last summer, showed first pictures of the CryEngine 2 at the Professional Developer Conference in Los Angeles. There is again the already known Caribbean isle scenery, but also some new technologies like a “complete” interactive world, dynamic alternation between day and night, real-time shadows and reworked particle effects.

i still love playing farcry everyday, i sure hope they hurry up with this engine and make a gr8 game like farcry :D highest quality? lol, you almost can't notice the difference between high and very high with this engine, so why should you in the second engine? :rolleyes:

Hehe, reminds me of when first got Star Wars Racer. My friends and I were 100% sure that that was photo realistic and graphics couldn't get any better. :rolleyes: Can't wait for FarCry2!! :D

The vid looks gr8, shame it was taken with a camera, but it still shows the gfx very impressively :D

I think the X850XT / XTPE can handle that, shudnt be that much strain. . .just believe. . like brother faith :p

Despite the low res, it looks very good. Especially destructible environment seem to work great (the truck crashes the house)...
