X800 fuses data for unlocking

Hi All ! I have PALIT X800GTO AGP DDR3. There two screen

AtiTool say that is R420 and

That core is R481 (X850) but unfortunately the connection of the bridges won't open any pipes. It should work with minimum 500-560MHz (with 12 pipes even more) but probably needs more voltage. Normally Vcore (on X850) is 1.4V - check your current Vcore and you will probably understand why the core clock is so low. About the memory - it looks like 1.4ns which means 2x700MHz ;).

Core voltage (measured on сondensers, located in an overhead left corner on a photo.) is 1.4V . But in 3D - 1.46 :wtf:

Memory is 1.4 Hynix, but the timings is understated for it. On default timings artifacts. Stable work on 1200Mhz + good cooling.

The same settings in atitool and the same rom file - I've compared it to mine.

So I have tried to flash with rom provided by dolf 01-07-2007, 10:03 AM.
So if I am right it should fit to mine card. Am I right?

The only chance for you (even insignificant) is to conduct hardmod (to connect the left bridge) and to pray. On the BIOS level you are already with 16 pipes. After connecting of the bridge take the fuses again and post them.

After a long week finally the week-end has come and I found some time to mess with the card :) I tried a pencil trick today, but it apparently didn't work, as nothing changed in AtiTool (same 12 pipes, die_fuses and other data, I suppose something would have changed if the contact was made) :(. I will look for something else, as I'm not crazy enough to try soldering :D, and will keep you informed (I hope I can find something else here...)

I downloaded the x850xt bios from here, its an agp card (xpertvision x850xt). What went wrong ? And how can i correct it, the old bios is on my bootcd, with Atiflash 3.43 and the new one. But if i boot the pc, it seems that i dont have access to dr-dos an the flashtool.

Are you sure that you flashed AGP BIOS not PCI-E. If you flashed wrong but AGP BIOS you can boot at minimum. Flash it blindly using:

atiflash -f -p -newbios 0 biosname.bin

The BIOS seems AGP. And if you have PCI card is better to use it instead flashing blind. Also I hope that you have "normal" X850XT not Palit for instance which has different PCB and probably the "normal" BIOS won't work on it.

hmm bad News, Xpertvision is Palit in Europe :(. Or only in Germany I dont know it exactly. System doesnt boot up, to get a Pci-Card, i would have to buy it @ebay, instead, i think i could get a normal AGP-Card from a friend. Is it possible to boot with a working AGP and then put my original card into the slot to reflash it blind ? I took the ATI-Bios because the Palit/Xpertvision Bioses (hmm dont know the plural) are for x800. Hmm different PCB-Layout sucks :shadedshu...
Well, hope I get it back working...is it possible, in the worst case, that the card wouldnt be recognized by atiflashtool as a adapter ? I mean, if it doesnt boot up at minimum ?

Hi,
the reflash was successful. Card is working again. I bought an ATI Rage II 3d (Pci), put it in and switched the boot up function from agp/pci to pci/agp. System started caldera dr dos, so i could use the flash tool. The tool only recognized my agp-card not the pci, so i used atiflash -f -p 0 -atmel oldbios.bin -newbios to reflash the card. I´m glad that thing worked.

It can't be unlocked because fuses tallking that. "Fuses" this are software readings of hardware determined values. Understand contacts which can be arranged in order to switch on/off the four quads of pipes in the core. Those switches are positioned on the back side of the GPU and unfortunately we only can indicate the state of the GPU reading the fuse information. In some cases the fuses show that core has full number of pipes working on hardware level but are disabled via BIOS or disabled on hardware level but can be switched on again conducting hardmod.

The ATITool can show everything but the core can be different than in ATITool. Just picture from your card (core) is real.

Unfortunately your card will remain with 12 pipes. It is not possible to open the last quad. The card is allready flashed with 16 pipe BIOS but the GPU has phisically cutted quad which is not possible to be activated. You can flash XP or XT PE BIOS and you will have 12 pipe XT or XT PE.

Definitely hardware mod won't open any pipes. It is 100% sure (after long research I am 1000% convinced in that) unfortunately I will say. About X800SE, X800PRO or X800XT they are absolutely the same hardware just core is not 100% functional on X800Se and X800PRO's. The memory also could be different. The link with the optimistic prognosis for opening was just early assumption which turns false.

You can't unlock pipes on that card. Try to ocerclock it hard :). It should overclock pretty well if it realy has R480. It the core is R430 you will notice max. overclock of 420-430MHz.

Soldering is useless because no more pipes are posible on that core. The overclock of the core is more important but you wouldn't set more than 560MHz if the max core found by ATITool is 573.

its a good card i'd have to say. if you have the funds to get a better one than this do so if you are on a budget this is also a good card to get. yeah i set it to 540 for both memory and core and its stable for now but to boot load to the OS is really slow but for now its the best i can do without having it crash on me anymore. its at 28c also used to be 31 but 0_0

My question is, I have bought an XpertVision Radeon x800GTO off ebay (To replace my Radeon 9550)

The Questions are, has anyone un-locked the pipes on this card? Are all the XpertVision X800GTO's based on the same core? Is it possible to un-lock the pipes just using RivaTuner or something instead of flashing the BIOS?
And would I notice a large increase in my games? I managed to get Crysis running on low settings on the Radeon 9550 with 25+ fps would I be able to achieve Medium Quality?
The rest of the System is an Athlon XP 3200+ @ 2.4ghz 1gb DDR400 memory, and the Radeon 9550, which is getting upgraded to the x800GTO.
The only reason I bought the card was because it was cheap.
(It was selling around the same price as the Radeon 9550's on ebay).
And cheaper than the Geforce 6 6800 series and 7600 Series.
If I can't do a software mod of any kind, I'll post my ATI Tool stuff as soon as I get the card, and thank you for you're help.

You can only unlock the pipes on a card by reflashing the bios afaik. Post a screenshot when you get the card, all fuse data can be different from card to card even if it is the same manufacturer. The pipe unlock isn't a noticable differnce, but you will see it in any benchmarks that you do.

I've got an unbelivable problem. I flashed my Sapphire x800GTO/256/AGP/R430/1.6ns card to handle its 16P. It worked fine in a special case when flashed into AGPX850XT (failed) and then to PCI-EX800XL, because the BIOS of the Rialto bridge.
But!
After that I realized that the cooler's fan not works fine, exspecially when it runs 3D applications. Why? I thought the problem is probably caused by the BIOS flash. Maybe this bios is for a card with no external power input! That's why the AGP cannot power my card.
But!
When flashing again using Club3D's X800XL BIOS, it failed.
I tried to reflash, but now the ATIflash can't read the BIOS ROM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WTF?
I tried to get information about the adaptors in the system with command
atiflash -i and atiflash -ai, then the ATIflash made the floppy drive seeking, and then done nothing. Same problem when typing atiflash -t (tests access to VBIOS)
Please help me!

I've for a about year used Sapphire X800 GTO 256 MB AGP . Recently I fitted an Accelero S2 heatsink + Acutake 120 mm fan on it. This brought down temperatures to 36 idle and 50 in stress for previous 42 / 58 on stock cooler.

I know that I don't have correct fuses for 16 pipes but what bugs me is the fact that core ( R430 on chip , no laser cut visible ) is running stock on 425 MHz instead of default 400 MHz and memory ( infineon 2.0 ns ) @ 506 MHz. No overclock, runs rock solid. This is photo of my card :

I want to bios mod it, but I have no floppy drive and can't seem to get a bootflash drive that works. how can I tell if this one is unlockable? I did see samsung on the mem chips

Yes. Now it's a matter a searching through this thread to find the unlocked bios for your r430 core.

If I wasn't at work, I think I still have a modded bios on my home machine for my old x800

Hi guys, i just got a X800XL DDR1 PCI-E that was flashed with bad bios and doesn't seem to work anymore...
what i want to do, is find the bios of the card and then reflash it...
but i don't know which card is it...i got it without a sticker or cooler, just this...

There is only one bios in the TPU database that has DDR1 for an x800xl. It is here:http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/10514/MAXSUN.X800XL.128.060518.html

You will probablly have to force flash it using this:

A:\ flashbios -p 0 (the name of the new BIOS file you downloaded including the file extension) then press enter.

I base my thought that it is DDR1 from the memory modules that say:

Infineon
DDR SGRAM

it probably IS ddr1 right?

Looking at those images i'd say the memory is DDR3. DDR1 looks completely different.

It is strange that there is no power connector on the card.

That bios is for the bog-standard x800xl, with the samsung memory. It should work, just perhaps set tighter memory timings.
