Well I'm contemplating on acquiring em for each card. Only problem is I dont know if it will fit in this setup.. is there a thin 90mm fan existing also?

thin fans only come in the 80mm variety that i know of. Consider the accelero S1 on the top card - it makes the card a double slot, vs. the triple of the Thermalright. Then you can use the thermalright on the bottom card, so that you can keep the sound card.

i think scythe do their sflex fans in a 25mm version but they are 120mm.

if you have them so they are fitted over the back of the card they look like they would fit but im not 100% as to wether you would fit a fan on the top one.

Reorrienting the 120 maybe.. still finicky.. do you guys know someone here who has an SLI with HR-03 GT's?

hr-03 yes it will fit, install behind each card you must insted of in front, done this i have, works well yes it does, add thin 80mm fan to them you can, or do as i did, 70mm blowing out back of case (remove slot covers you must) 2 40-60mm fans you can add to upper card blow heat to back vent it will.

sorry pix i do not have, motherboard model i cant remmber, a 2 slot board it was, bottem 16x slot only 1 slot from bottem of case was, hence hr03 mounted cooler behind the card with insted of infront, , may beable to get away with top one on frnt of card but count on it i wouldnt, masure avalable space you have and compare with hr-03 "will it fit charts"

sidewindercomputers these charts does have, ask i will what board we used in that system, now i can not, sleeping he is, man he would be if called at this time i did.....

Short version: the HR-03 (i have the original on my GTX) takes one slot on its own, and one for the fan - even if you shared a fan between them, that means 3 slots between the cards.

That might, MIGHT just fit.
Magnus is just confusing, but more or less i still reccomend the acclero S1 for the top card - its a lot thinner only taking one slot (same as stock cooler) but its performance is quite good. You dont need idtentical cooling on the cards, and you could still manage to cool them both with the same fan(s) - 2x slimline (15mm) 80mm fans would do the trick.

If you rotated your CPU sink to blow into the PSU (and had the fan sucking out the top, instead of blowing in the bottom) you could fit both coolers facing upwards fine as well.

I was thinking the same too Mussels (reorrienting the TRUE120).. looks kinda ugly though. And as much as possible I want that to be my last resort. As for the accelero on top and HR03 in the bottom, well I just dont like the look of non-uniformity. hmm.. Seing 9800GTX' benchmark scores, I decided that I should wait for something that has a huge leap in fps.. Therefore I shall stick with these 8800s for now. As for the HR-03GT.. gung-hoe! time to gamble and try it this weekend! haha. ^^ thanks guys!
