i created a usb boot disk as is described in w1z guide

but when i reboot and try to get it to boot as a boot disk it just hangs? i tried all of the usb options for bootable media and the only one that doesn't just completely ignore it is usb-zip but that just hangs! does anyone know how to get this to work?
