All this for £950 and can handle Crysis at 1280x1024 with 2xAA on high settings with no slow FPS. I love the machine I built and it would be worth considering!!!

Seems like a pretty nice rig - the only one thing you could have done different would be to get two raptors and put them in RAID, but the specs are still pretty impressive anyway.

Im looking at getting another WD Raptor as they are fast, but not enough space lol and thanks for the tip about getting 2 of them in RAID.

Definitely agree, very nice but very expensive and usually expensive = nice. :)

Nice rig, but Raptors are last years "best thing"

Samsung F1 in RAID is faster than RaptorX and bigger, cheaper, quieter, cooler.

very nice system although i personally would have gone for two hd370's instad of the more expensive x2 version

By buying 2x HD3870 in crossfire will = 2GPU in sync, But when I get another I will have 4GPU's in sync with 2GB Mem

WD Raptor - Spin Speed 10,000rpm, Seek time 4.5ms

Samsung F1 - Spin Speed 7200rpm, seek time: 8.9ms

So when I get another WD Raptor (x2) wouldn't that be better in RAID?

No. Seek time is no better in RAID. It still takes the HDD head the same time to get to the right place on the disk. The RAID benefit is to pull data off two drives at the same time, theoretically doubling the bandwidth (internal transfer rate).

Take a look at these benchmarks: http://techreport.com/articles.x/14200/2. I think you will be surprised at the performance of the F1's. A lot more for your money.

Remember that DATA DENSITY x Spin Speed PLUS is a better estimate of bandwidth. The F1 beats the Raptors hands down on that statistic. In theory the Raptors have better seek time. But so what? One seek, then lots of read = bandwidth + cache. So day to day desktop performance will be better with the F1's. You MIGHT get better performance with Raptors if you are running heavy-utilisation database searches. But I think your PC is a gaming machine, not a database cruncher, right?

Oh yes, and the F1's are cool and silent.
