Hey guys,

As some of you champions know I have re-installed Vista recently. :respect::respect::respect: thanks for all your help.

I don't have the net connected atm so I cant do much yet.

My question is "Why isn't vista recognizing/installing my USB devices"

I have a crap load of stuff on em (which I can copy and burn to cd on my bros pc) but I still need em to work ... my mouse and kb are usb and they work

I've tried the front and back ports and still no luck. This also happened when I first installed vista ages ago but I cant remember how I fixed it

Thanks again guys. :pimp:

Yeah I have the mobo driver cd but vista dont like it, it wont autorun ... I've also tried to manually install the drivers through device manager from the cd and still no luck ... I got it working before but I'm not sure if it had something to do with having the net connected

Once I get home I'll try do some 'things' .... :wtf:

Make sure that USB support is enabled in your BIOS.

Hmmmm ok :)

I also read in a similar thread that windows will put them in 'power save' mode or something  what ever that means.

But yeah keep coming with the suggestions ... more the better :D

Thanks

connect it online and it will update the drivers automatically. Atleast thats what happens everytime i install vista to a new system

If the mobo driver CD doesnt work then he has to burn the drivers onto a working CD.

Im not having much luck with finding the latest drivers for my mobo

I have an ECS NFORCE939A (nforce4)

I would really appreciate it if someone could find a link for me :respect:

PS. the driver cd that came with the mobo doesnt have vista drivers on it either so its probs no use ... but i got it all working somehow

just kinda my random thought for the day... try reinstalling again? not to pick on vista atm but all software is capable of getting a random bug... so yea... i'm done... but if its a fresh install anyways i dont seen a reason not to try it again :/
