Alright! Just installed my new G0 Q6600 and have her running at 3.2ghz Orthos stable for 6 hours. Its being cooled by a Swiftech H20-120 compact and the temps topped out at 68C. I'm happy with the temps because I know the CPU will never be fully loaded and its a bit warm in my room right now.

Ya got some weak ass 15586 marks...There's been something wrong with my system since I made it...I had another thread about my low 3DMarks. I'm still trying to figure it out. I've tried every fix and patch I could find and have tried various settings.

Did you try running your ram linked?

Wile E: Yes, my RAM is linked.
Duxx: It's running at 1.35v-1.40v
Corrosion: 3DMark06
I was achieving about 12k on some 3DMark06 runs with my E6300 and a single 8800GT. I've been trying to figure it out for about a month now. When SLI was disabled and I was only using 1 card I was getting pretty high scores. As soon as SLI was enabled my score either dropped or did not improve. Its definitely driver issues, but I've tried 4 different revisions of Forceware and I'm currently using 169.32. The only thing I have not tried is reinstalling windows. All my games run perfectly fine, Crysis never dips below 30fps now that I have my Q6600 and I run it at 1680x1050 all settings Very High No AA/AF.
EDIT: I've tested both cards independently and they both score like 12k in 3DMark06. I've also tested my motherboard and SLI bridge and everything seems ok.

Are both your PCIe lanes running at full speed? That does seem pretty low for SLI GT's and a 3.2ghz Quad.

Yes both are running at max speed, I have it manually set in the BIOS.

Sorry to insult you like this...but its part of trouble shooting :) (not the insult part, the stupid question part)
Did you use the SLI connector?

Not to insult, but please thoroughly read each post :)
But to answer your question, yes, I've tried 3 different SLI bridges.

he did mention testing the sli bridge aka sli connector...

Ok, well check this...IF this is true, then its crazy.
http://www.evga.com/support/manuals/132-CK-NF78.pdf
On page 37/127. It says "To configure for SLI, follow the instructions that come with the SLI kit (the kit is purchased separately from the motherboard).
So is this "kit" just the sli bridge that comes with video card...or is it something you purchase from eVGA...

Aye, thanks for the link. I read that in my manual but eVGA said to ignore it.

To me your score is good for a single card, its almost like the second card isn't doing anything. Which you have stated....I haven't found anything like this on google. Im wondering if its the 780i chipset...It has to be right?

I'm still not entirely sure. For a single card that score is awesome...but for SLI its horrible. I might try the Tri-SLI bridge that comes with the 780i. I was reading that it can be used for running 2 GPU SLI. I'm willing to try anything at this point short of Reinstalling Vista. Keep in mind, it was a fresh install as soon as I went SLI, so it was not using old drivers or anything.

68°C at 3.2Ghz is pretty hot. Mine doesn't get over 60°C at 3.6Ghz...

You're using a TR Ultra Extreme 120...I'm using a Swiftech H20-120 Compact, its made for quiet operation which its doing a damn good job at.
EDIT: I'm going to try reapplying the TIM and reseating the block. I was reading Paulieg's post about this unit (I bought it from him) and he had his G0 running at 48C at 3.2ghz full load.

AKA: Apply a line if TIM, from one end of the chip to the other, to make sure you get a good spread across both dies. I dropped over 7C under full load using that method vs. the grain of rice method.

I actually tried the put some paste down, spread with finger in a sandwich baggy method :) It always works for me and guarantees even coverage.
EDIT: I'll try the line method, can't hurt.

Personally i wouldnt worry bout 3dmark06. i get 15700 with my q6600 @ 3.2 (Stock cooler) 2gb 800mhz ram, 8800gt xfx windows xp pro. Your Specs are only really gonna shine when 3dmark07 comes out because it will have better support for quads and sli/tri cards. To achieve the best reults on 3dmark u should have a re-format and all current drivers. :D

you try mannually setting your pci/e frequency in bios to 101/105/110/115?

This is a brand new format with all current drivers. Also, I have my PCI-E lanes locked at 100mhz as recommended by everywhere I read.
