vista's taskbar is flashing, help, very annoying

my damn taskbar keep flashing. it's not what you may think either. it just randomly flashes and then it's fine for a few seconds. it's like a lightbulb that's getting ready to die. i have searched the whole internet and have yet to find anything. help!!!

it seams to have something to do with the ati control center. any idea?

I would say maybe a driver bug or glitch in AMD/ATI's vista drivers for the X2 maybe? While I was on vista I never once saw such a thing...maybe disable it for a bit and turn it back on after a restart? Interesting issue...

if i close all the ati related stuff it stops.

Well then I'd go to an older driver that supports the X2 if possible that didn't create the issue...hopefully the next release will have that fixed.
