I've recently been getting pretty into MtG, and its the kind of thing I'm sure a lot of you nerds have been exposed to. :P Anyone want to sell any entire collections they dont play anymore?

but basically I have a formidable deck of each color and a couple combo decks, from memory my best deck is a worm (green) deck, it freakin tears up

oh shoot, I guess they're mainly type one then...I've been out of the MtG loop for a good 4 years now and didn't even know...I can't even remember what expansions they are

most tournaments are type 2 only, and you can only use cards from the latest sets. otherwise i'd be fine with type 1. :P

type 2 means that the cards are from the lastest expansions, and are thus tournament legal. when you bought your cards, they were probably type 2 at the time. if you really want to sell it as an entire set, i might still want to buy it if the price is right though.

I used to play MTG about 10 years ago I had a black deck (I think) all my creatures were invisible, regen or /* I went to tournaments at universities always challenged by a blue deck anyways I got into the star trek version after but I always thought MTG got wiped out by the Pokemon version a couple years ago, glad to see people are still into it.

Uhh I have a bunch of cards. Basically the deck I put together is crap for slow manna/ 7-1, but things like 10-2 and fast manna it rocks. Basically it's a huge rainbow deck that's mostly red and black and depends on spells like kill a non-black creatures/ xdamage cards, but even if you don't use xdamage, there are still cards that do a good amount of damage. I can break them out and see, but I'm pretty sure I don't have any rares and I don't know what decks/expansions I have, but I can take some pics of the better cards and just the deck in general (tomorrow). Also, I have no clue what they're worth so basically shoot some offers.

Also, I'd say most of the cards are in good shape (most in case protectors), except for a few.

Sorry for the stupidity, but how do you tell a rare from a non-rare XD.

below the picture on a card on the right, there is a symbol. if the symbol is black, its a common. if it is silver, it is an uncommon. if it is GOLD it is a RARE. :P

Ohh, not sure if I have rares, I think I have a few silvers. I was just in it to have some fun and nail people with like 50 damage :D:D

you used to tell by that book that came out every month think it was called the scroll or wizard or something it was a pricing book I had this black dragon it was 12/* or 24/* it was worth $4 but because it was rare I got an offer for $10 at some tournament.

I wish there was an online version to play lol, the black dragon I had was a creature I remember it had some knock on it in the info box at the time black creatures were weak rats, ghouls and skeletons you had to stack in order to get any effect which is probably why it was rare. I remember this blue card I think it was Orb something that used to wipe out alot of players lol.

I've got a deck still together. Havent played in 7 years. Not sure the cards are legal. A lot of what we used to call 'beta' (black outside border) and 'unlimited' (light grey) but no rares like that.
The deck is white/black with 4 serra angels, 4 sengir vampires, 4 white knights, 4 black knights, swords to plowshears, I've got a lot of other just mixed cards.
I'd like to dump the whole deck if i can (& if its still tourny legal). If you're interested drop me a pm or reply

haha..NO good cards are reprinted type 2 .. first they got rid of hippie spector and kept dark rit... then they got rid of rit, and brought back spector. it is always a balance.. but i can assure you that nothing in type 2 is fun. not nearly as fun as the older cards that were truely broken.. favorite deck ever is silent assasin deck.. mmmhymmm

I have a green "Nature's Revolt" deck, I'll see if i can dig it out of my closet. It won me many, many games.
If you couldn't tell, the deck is based around the card "Nature's Revolt," which turns all forests in your control into 2/2 creatures.

Dammit man! I had over $1K worth of cards get ruined in a flood in my basement. Made me very mad.....The best cards that won me money was the red and black deck. Battle Sqaudrin was the killer for me. Killed off all my friends lol

I have about 2000 Magic Cards. Among my most expensive are Force of Will (Alliances), Serra Avatar, Rushwood Elemental, Avatar of Might, Mind over Matter, Worship, Phyrexian Dreadnought, Absorb, Sulfurous Springs, Concordant Crossroads, Burning Wish, and Mirari. I don't really want to sell any unless you can offer a really good price.

I have a ton of commons though. I might be interested in selling them, but they are all type 1. In fact, most are before 2004.
