just wondering because newegg have a promo that lowers it to $95-$30MIR= $65. i run on 1680x1050 currently with a hd2400pro 128mb. it runs 10fps at 1680x1050 so im looking for an improvment hehe and have almost $200 to spend but dont want to go all out because i only play a select few such as cod4, cs 1.6 as of right now. plan to play sc2 when it comes out as well.

Find the faster BIOS (the one with 680MHz core) and flash this card with that BIOS and be done with it. Easiest OC ever for a pretty good price.

You should be able to run Maxed at a nice easy 50+ FPS... I think I was getting 70 maxed on my 2600xt 1280x1024.

I have seen a socket939 3500+ with a x850 run cod4 at 30fps at 1680x1050res, no AA of AF
Still not to bad for that hardware;)

On CSS with settings at max using just 1 XFX 8600GT I get about 130FPS, with the second one in SLI I get 240.
It also plays TF2 very nicely.(also at 1680 X 1050)
