Ugly, weak and completly ineffective, the cpu would have to be hot as hell before that thing even starte spinning. How much energy can a dam cpu fan use anyways?

looks interesting, but @ 60C startup u gotta be kidding.. tho on chips that are quite happy at that temperature it could be nice. If it was around in the presc-hottt days
a passive thermalright cooler would be better, that tiny heatsink and crappy fan arent going to be able to cool much...

why not just make an attachment for your hamster to run on an external wheel to power a cooler?
or a rodent type creature on steroids? hahaha
OR
a clockwork fan cooler with an external crank shaft u wind up every few hours :)

I think you're right in the first part, but the main advance of this system is clearly that it just doesn't dissipes the heat, it will eat "it" and transform it into another kind of energy, thermal to kinetic-electrical one, so that bigger heatpipes are not needed anymore since the heat will be eated by the mechanisms ... remember the conservation of energy law, the energy can't be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another. The actual cooling solutions are just that, cooling systems, not energy-transform ones like this. Maybe it's kinda weird right now, but seems so interesting in a future if it's well designed and done :)
