Yeah, that's hot. Make sure you have proper case airflow.

Yeah, that is really hot. You need some better cooling or you WILL fry the card.

I dont reccomend OCing anymore! Put it at stock speeds thats WAY too hot.

i do have watercooling case but thats for cpu lol i know nothin to do with the gpu but 2x 120mm fans
in front 1 on top and 1 in the back and got the BFG tech 8800 ultra fan running at 100% and
my window open feels like 45 in my room
running games on it max gets to 85 sometimes 89 when i max everything out
and on 3dmarks 06 gets to like 88
i dont know wat to do even at stock it gets to like 85 this card is just a beast
and if cold winter air from the outside coming it doesnt help i dont know wat wil
Yes that is quite toasty. Make sure all your fans are pointing the right way (fans in the front of the case should be blowing in and fans on the back of the case blowing out). Take a can of air or an air compresor nozzle to every fan in the case (take the video card out for this, everything else will be fine, cpu heatsink, psu fan, etc). Just make sure you hold the fan blades when you do this espically if you use an air compressor nozzle unless you want the fan to break the sound barrier and explode.

Wow that fan is messed up or somthing.. try taking it off and putting some MX2 or AS5 on it or something.

Yes, some MX-2 and replace the stock cooler, then you should be fine.
You could try lapping the cooler (taking high grit sandpaper to it to smooth the surface out) to get better heatsink/gpu contact. Do NOT lap the video card core.
AS5 will be fine. I used silver stuff on my IHSless 8500GT core (which the core is smaller than a DDR2 memory chip lol) and I have no problems. Quite a few metal things round the core, have no idea what they are.
If you can open up the side door on your case and take pictures. I'm willing to bet:
1. You have a small case.
2. Your airflow is incorrectly desgined.
3. You have terrible cable managemtnt.

AS5 is fine, if you are careful. MX-2 and Ceramique are just better because they are non conductive. Well, MX-2 may also drop your temps down another degree or to.
Yeah but the silver stuff I got was free and I wasn't gonna spend $12 on MX-2 when I could get similar performing stuff free. I know about the dangers of using the conductive AS5, and I've read the same thing coming from different people enough times to know that even on GPUs only a thin layer is required and will perform well. So that's what I did. Spread it out with a sandwich baggie. Actually just the perfect amount came out for the job. I still have quite a bit of it left, I've been thinking about picking up a lapping kit and lapping my AC Freezer and my CPU IHS... I know how to do it, just tape the sandpaper down to something flat and take the sandpaper to the IHS 10 times in each 90* direction until it looks good, go to a higher grit.

this is my case

so i didnt even touch the fans so i couldnt mess that up
maybe its the cables they are not strapped or anything but dont seem to be in the way
also one of my friends told me to turn aorund my back fan so its blowin into the case so i have
cold air coming in 2 ways and all the hot air coming out of the top fan

No, use the rear and top for exhaust. Everything else use as intake. Make sure your cards can breathe as much as possible. Cable management is key to good case airflow.
