so i finally decided to upgrade my card. and i'm wondering possibly what i should expect from it when it arrives on monday morning. currently i'm running 3.36Ghz 240x14 mem a ddr960 4,4,4,12 2t. i'll be doing most of my gaming at 1280x1024 for 2 weeks and then i'll have a 22" widescreen 1680x1050. my previous highest 3dmark is 11097?? what will i expect from this card in forms of benches and games like cod4, ut3, WoW, bioshock, NFPS, and the like, will i be able to max them out and play well or no??

What was your previous card? That might give you a little more of what to expect as far as improvement. But at least right now, you can expect to play any game completely maxed with 30+fps. With the exception of crysis, which I was able to play on very high for most of the game. Only toward the end did I have to crank it down to high.

Oh and wait till you get your 22". You should be quite happy methinks. I am not as much of a bench guru, but I was able to get 13.8k on 3d mark without really squeezing anything out. You could probably get over 14k with some tweaking.

I'm thinking you'll be looking at around 13K with your system and a new 8800GT. Great card, other than the stock cooler.

He's getting a gts, which has a pretty solid cooler, although it still runs pretty warm.

yay, i'm so exited, this will be my first upscale video card, my 8800gts 320 was a handmedown from a friend who upgraded to an ultra, i'm looking forward to getting similar performance from my rig due to a higher oc. still iffy on the ram for my rig though, i really need something that is guarenteed to hit a 1120Mhz clock right out of the box that tdoesn't cost much.
